This is just delightful! My favorite moments were the library cards tumbling from the Golden Books and the specific authors you mentioned. Thank you for being a library fan!
I love Bel Canto. I am reading it at a slower pace than it deserves because I keep getting distracted (life! shiny things!). The way Patchett weaves in and out of characters' heads is astonishing. I also loved Commonwealth and Tom Lake (I'm a huge Our Town fan, so it wrecked me in the best way). Are you reading anything good right now? I'm always looking...
I just recently finished the Jackaby trilogy and enjoyed it immensely. I love mysteries and all things magical/paranormal, and these books checked all the boxes. Plus feminism, witty dialogue, and memorable characters! So much fun.

Oh my goodness! This means a lot coming from a real live librarian! Thanks so much for reading. Looking forward to checking out your work.
Love this!
Oh my goodness! Thanks so much for taking a look!
What a fun collection of anecdotes! How are you liking Bel Canto? I haven't read it, but a friend of mine loved it.
Thanks so much for reading, Robin! What an honor!
