The exact amount of dust bunnies in my home. A bug cruising around on the ceiling. The trail of jets in the sky from BWI. These things are only seen from the vantage point of lying on the floor looking up.
Today, it was smoke in sunbeams. Earlier, before starting my movement practice on the floor, I lit palo santo wood, placed it in a ceramic owl mug and promptly forgot about it. Mid spinal twist, plumes of beautiful smoke drifted, spiraling up a ray of light across my door. I wondered, vaguely, if the house was on fire. I felt around for the mystery draft that pushed the smoke into the alcove. And then, I just relaxed and watched the show.
I also brought you some bonus bees in the Oak Leaf Hydrangea. Thanks to Z Green for the “buzzzz-es.”
Next Week for Vera Monstera…
You might be asking yourself right this very minute, “what the hell is going on with Luray Caverns? I mean, is it still cavernous? Are stalactites still growing? Do I mean stalagmites? Can I even get a signal down there?! I don’t know!” Pressing issues, yes. But don’t worry, I have some hot takes about The Glacial Movement of Water over Rock. It’s also a throwback to when phones were annoying, but not nearly as annoying as they are now. Stay tuned! And thanks for reading.
